Ginger , officially known as zingiber officinate is a wonderful spice protect for its taste and medicinal properties. Ginger has been used for its health benefits for ovwer years and is a favourite medicinal as well as culinary herb. unlike most spices, the part that has the most medicinal valve grows underground. often mistakenly called ginger root, this is actually the rhizorne of the plant which is more of a subterranean stem than a root .They are white or yellow outside and becomes grey- brown or orange when matured.
Ginger is available in two forms they can either be fresh or dried. The dried specie may be scarped or peeled before drying as a spice because of it aroma , flavor and medicinal values. The volatie oils in ginger are the cause of its taste , and medical effectiveness.
Uses and preparationof ginger culinary purpose: Ginger is used in preparing foods and food products like soups , cakes ginger bread, pickies . used in pharmaceutical company . some drugs made with ginger.
Spice and seasoning : Ginger is used as a spice for cooking some cuisines , making cakes, sweets. As a spice ground ginger can be quite a valuable substitute when fresh ginger root is not available. But fresh ginger is alway preferred , both for its superior taste .
